BREIZH CAFE

AT BREIZH CAFE, THEY DON'T SERVE ORDINARY CREPES. TRY THE SAVORY BUCKWHEAT OPTION WITH CARAMELIZED ONION, EGG AND HAM OR ARTICHOKE, EGG AND HAM (PICTURED ABOVE). WASH IT ALL DOWN WITH A CHILLED GLASS OF CIDER AND FINISH THE MEAL OFF WITH A DESSERT CREPE. 

L'AS DU FALLAFEL

IF YOU'RE IN MARAIS, YOU HAVE TO TRY THIS FALLAFEL JOINT. THERE ARE MULTIPLE FALLAFEL RESTAURANTS IN THE AREA, BUT YOU KNOW L'AS DU FALLAFEL BEATS OUT THE COMPETITION WHEN YOU SEE A LINE FORMING OUTSIDE OF THEIR WINDOW. THEY STUFF THEIR PITA BREAD WITH LAYERS OF PICKLED VEGETABLES, FALLAFEL AND DRENCH IT IN A COOL AND REFRESHING SAUCE. DON'T FORGET TO ASK FOR SPICY SAUCE! IT'S THE CHERRY ON TOP. 

PICNIC AT THE EIFFEL TOWER

ON THE WAY TO THE EIFFEL TOWER PICK UP A FEW SNACKS AT THE RUE CLER MARKETS FOR A PICNIC. THIS SPREAD INCLUDES A FRESHLY BAKED BAGUETTE, COMPTE AND LANGRES CHEESE, APPLES, APRICOT, RASPBERRIES AND FAVA BEANS. NOT PICTURED WAS A CHILLED BOTTLE OF ROSE. CHEERS TO THE PERFECT SUMMER PICNIC. 

WILD & THE MOON

TAKE A BREAK FROM THE BAGUETTES AND CREPES AND COME TO WILD & THE MOON . THIS IS THE CLOSEST THING TO YOUR FAVORITE LOCAL HEALTH CAFE BACK HOME IN THE STATES. HERE YOU CAN DETOX WITH A FRESH JUICE, SPINACH AND LENTIL SALAD OR ACAI BOWL. 

RESTAURANT CAILLEBOTTE

TUCKED AWAY IN THE 9TH ARRONDISSEMENT IS RESTAURANT CAILLEBOTTE. IT HAS A WARM ATMOSPHERE AND THEIR MENU IS COMPOSED OF MODERN DISHES THAT COMBINE SEASONAL INGREDIENTS WITH UNUSUAL FLAVOR COMBINATIONS. I RECOMMEND GOING FOR LUNCH AND TRYING THE MENU DU JOUR FOR JUST 19 EURO


 I COULDN'T HELP BUT SNAP A PICTURE OF THE MANAGERS CHILDREN WHO CAME IN FOR LUNCH.

 ENTREE: OCTOPUS WITH HUMMUS, FAVA BEANS AND SPINACH.

PLAT: ZUCCHINI NOODLES WITH A SHREDDED PORK PATTY.

OUR MENU DU JOUR INCLUDED AN ENTREE AND PLAT SO I SPLIT A DESSERT WITH MY FRIEND. THE KITCHEN STAFF WAS NICE ENOUGH TO GIVE US EACH OUR OWN DESSERT FOR THE PRICE OF ONE!
DESSERT: BEST CHOCOLATE GANACHE I'VE EVER EATEN WITH AN ESPRESSO.
